Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is my privilege to inaugurate this vital initiative for training our garment workers. The garment sector is the backbone of Bangladesh’s economy, employing over four million workers and contributing significantly to our foreign exchange earnings. However, the 25% shortage of skilled workers hampers our potential for growth.
This program, funded by the Commerce Ministry, aims to train 1,440 entry-level workers annually, equipping them with technical expertise and fostering a safe and productive working environment. By bridging the skills gap, we will enhance productivity, empower our workforce, and create a more competitive industry.
Our collective effort, in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensures comprehensive training covering technical know-how, quality control, and workplace conduct. Together, let us build a more prosperous Bangladesh, driven by skilled hands and innovative minds.
Thank you.
Md. Masudur Rahman
President
