Bangladesh Garments Executives Association (BGEA), an active platform for garment professionals, was established in 2015 and now it has more than 500 members. BGEA organizes re-union, annual get together, workshop, seminar, social work and discussion program regularly. Recently, BGEA organized its annual day on 21 February at Bornossota resort, Zirabo, Ashulia, Savar, which was a grand gathering of around 300 members.
Atiqul Islam, Former President, BGMEA and Managing Director of Islam group was present as chief guest where he said, “It is a special day for me. BGEA is a best platform for RMG industry people. This organization will lead the textile sector and assist Bangladesh to become a middle-income country by 2021.” Our industry is growing up with wellbeing, dignity and safety, Atiqul Islam added.
“BGEA is an example of brotherhood in garment Sector. Very soon, we will launch our training institute and website,” said Emdad Ul Haque Miazi, General Secretory of BGEA.
In the program, BGEA members demanded a piece of land for their own office. Atiqul Islam ensured to help BGEA to fulfill their demand. The picnic organizing committee also organized sports and raffle draw. The program ended up with the price giving ceremony and cultural function.
